Am I the A-hole for expecting my friends to rarely help me with tasks?

My roommates and I have been living together for about a year. We've made a terrible agreement where we each take turns doing the dishes, but lately, it feels like I'm always the one handling the work. Last week, my friend was super busy to do their part. I got really upset because they just acted like it wasn't a big deal. I told them that it was inconsiderate, and they started arguing. Now, they're saying I'm being a jerk. Am I really the asshole here?

Should I find new roommates?
